Increased AI spam in WordPress comments.
Our websites have recently been experiencing a recurring problem with spam that is clearly generated by AI. This is a nuisance, as spam filters are largely ineffective against it. The spam sometimes relates, to a greater or lesser extent, to the content of the article and therefore appears to be a legitimate comment.
They’re promoting all sorts of online services and websites, most of which are also AI-related.

If you take a look at the websites, well… Apparently, the AI boom is producing some very strange results. This is just one example: an AI where you upload two photos and then the two of them start singing.
Why does this require a separate website and service, rather than just going straight to ChatGPT and the like? I’ve no idea.
Conclusion
Unfortunately, I haven’t found a solution to this yet, apart from deleting the comments as quickly as possible.
